Seat Ibiza Cupra (09 - present)

The Ibiza Cupra might be new to the supermini hot hatch scene but it is certainly making a name for itself and building an impressive reputation. It looks an awful lot better than the three door hatch on which it is based. The big alloys, and the redesigned grille give it a sporty, distinctive look. The interior is also nicely designed, with the emphasis on sportiness. The dash and centre console have been well thought out; there’s a tonne of standard kit and it is all easy to use. Despite being a three-door hatch, there is room for five and an impressive boot. But the Cupra is also about performance. It is easily one of the better performers in the segment. Excellent handling, sharp, responsive steering, and smooth ride quality, coupled with an agile chassis, and that excellent biturbo engine make the Cupra a real bundle of fun.
