It shares the same underpinnings/platform as its sister car, the Skoda Rapid, and SEAT say you will get a car with the look of a Saloon and the practicality of a hatch at a reasonable cost. It’s a fairly good looking car, albeit slightly unremarkable; it has the neat styling, contoured body work, and the impressively designed Seat ‘family face’ at the front. The interior is nicely put together too; the seats are comfortable, there is good visibility, and the driving position is excellent. The ride feels smooth and soft on the move. There’s a decent level of kit inside. It is undoubtedly one of the most practical cars in its class. It has a hugely impressive boot size, and there are acres of space in the cabin for up to five. On the road, the Toledo is a solid, competent performer. It handles well, the steering is responsive, and the gear-shift is seamless. There are some good, economical engines to choose from. They are easy on fuel and generally don’t cost a lot to keep on the road.
